Patricia Rodarte, MD
Biography
Hometown: El Paso, Texas
Undergraduate: Brown University
Medical School: The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
Why did you choose Brown?
Brown has become my home, and I have grown personally and professionally by learning by residents and faculty who are great educators. The culture of Brown General Surgery is built on teamwork and collaboration, and I am excited to become a family-- who also operates!-- with my co-interns and residents.
What are your favorite things about Providence & RI?
In Providence, I love trying new foods and Latino cuisines (my recent favorites are La Gran Parada and Caprichos Antioqueños). In Rhode Island, I love to explore coastal towns, including trying their lobster rolls, finding their lighthouses, and picking seashells at their beaches. I also recently enjoy thrifting for art, trinkets, and kitchenware...you'd be amazed what hidden treasures you can find!
Plans for the future?
Become the best surgeon and work with underserved populations, including Spanish-speaking and Latino patients.
