Why did you choose Brown?
My main priority while looking for a residency program was to find a place that was collaborative, the people were authentic, the residents got along, and the leadership was supportive. During my interview with Brown, every person I had the opportunity to speak with, including the leadership, embodied these traits. The camaraderie and the supportive environment cultivated by the Brown general surgery program made my decision easy!
What are your favorite things about Providence & RI?
I love that Providence is a manageable city with incredible food, great outdoor access, close to the beach, and most importantly it’s close to my friends and family.
Plans for the future?
I have interests in global health and working with underserved populations. Regarding my specialty plans, trauma surgery is what originally attracted me to general surgery, but I also have an interest in surgical oncology.
