Why did you choose Brown?
Brown has a deep commitment to caring for diverse patient populations across Rhode Island. The training opportunities across Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, and the Providence VA Medical Center provide comprehensive clinical exposure and a strong operative experience. I was also drawn to the culture of the institution and the opportunity to train in an environment that values both excellence and service.
What are your favorite things about Providence & RI?
I love that Providence has a unique sense of quirkiness, a vibrant arts scene, and a “big city in a small town” feel paired with classic New England charm. I also appreciate being within 30 minutes of beaches. The city is highly walkable and bike-friendly, with beautiful running and biking routes like East Bay Bike Path and Blackstone Boulevard. Lastly, the food scene punches well above its weight for a city of this size.
Plans for the future?
I am still exploring my long-term path, but I have strong interests in burn surgery, craniofacial surgery, and head & neck reconstruction. I’m excited to continue developing my surgical skills during residency while refining where I can make the greatest impact as a surgeon.
