Why did you choose Brown?

I loved the vibe of my interview day from the faculty to residents to staff. I left the day excited knowing that Brown would provide me with all the resources of academic surgery while maintaining focus on training true general surgeons. I knew I would enjoy living in Providence, and wanted to be closer to my parents who live in Massachusetts. Most importantly, I couples matched with my wife who absolutely loved the OBGYN program here. 

What are your favorite things about Providence & RI?

Food scene, beautiful running routes, affordable local gyms.

Plans for the future?

Undecided, but most interested in HPB vs Thoracic vs Trauma. I plan to pursue an academic career to stay heavily involved in educating the next generation of surgeons.
