Why did you choose Brown?
The opportunity to come home to Rhode Island and train to be a surgeon at Brown University and RIH is a dream come true. When I chose Brown, I chose a world-class program, my family, my friends, and the community that raised me.
What are your favorite things about Providence & RI?
The people! From Capitol Hill to Federal Hill, the city is full of great people from all walks of life. (The food is a close second).
Plans for the future?
I am going into my intern year with an open mind about what the future holds, but have interests in general surgery, trauma surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery. It would be a privilege to work in RI in the future.
Academic surgery?
I am interested in studying and implementing quality improvements for trauma patients. I also have an interest in medical education and teaching in the future.
