Biography
Hometown: Peabody, Massachusetts
Undergraduate: University of Massachusetts Amherst
Medical School: Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University
Why did you choose Brown? The General Surgery program at Brown University offers a diverse array of opportunities to explore various surgical specialties, accompanied by exceptional mentors who offer support and guidance to residents. I appreciated the empathy and vulnerability demonstrated by attending physicians and residents at Brown as they engaged in discussions regarding patient care and thought this environment would be an ideal setting for me to learn and grow throughout my preliminary year. Additionally, the residents support each other and have a genuine bond that extends beyond the hospital.
What are your favorite things about Providence & RI? During my four years in medical school, I have loved living in Providence. This small city has the perfect balance between urban and suburban atmospheres, offering the best of both worlds. I have appreciated the abundance of opportunities to explore the city and get involved in the community. Providence also has rich diversity and a strong sense of cultural pride.
Plans for the future? As a preliminary resident, I hope to get a larger sense of surgical specialties throughout the year but have prior interests in surgical oncology and plastic surgery.
