Why did you choose Brown?

What I found in Brown was the ideal combination of surgical breadth, research opportunities here and abroad, and a commitment to informed and compassionate patient care. I hope to reflect the collaborative energy and deep dedication that I see in faculty and residents -- traits that are central to applying clinical skills and building surgical expertise to handle the wide case variety received in our hospitals. What was particularly meaningful to me were the memorable interviews with faculty and conversations with residents on interview day. I am excited and grateful to return to the Northeast to spend these next formative years learning from leaders in the field, surrounded by peers who are as accomplished as they are warm.

What are your favorite things about Providence & RI?

I have loved reconnecting with family and friends, beach-hopping along the coastline, and reaching new heights on the Newport Cliff Walk! There is something for everyone here, and I personally look forward to experiencing the thriving music and arts scene, watching riverside bonfires at Waterplace Park, visiting the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, and exploring more food options on Federal Hill and beyond!
